Km36 50P
After the independence of Burma, the second set of modern circulating coins was issued. That is the first set of coin in decimal units of Kyat, with denominations of 1P, 5P, 10P, 25P, 50P and 1K. Among them the Km36 50P is a bit special. Normally 50P has a security edge, but it is found that it missed security edge in many issue year. These are regarded as error coins. This error is not found in other denominations. Since this is not my research target, the data collection period is short and incomplete, so the data below is only for limited reference:
Year | Number of coins found missing security edge |
---|---|
1952 | 1 |
1954 | 0 |
1956 | 0 |
1961 | 1 |
1962 | 0 |
1963 | 0 |
1965 | 1 |
1966 | 3 |
