The Burmese banknotes during the British Military Administration period (1945-1847) after the Japanese War were all overprinted on Indian banknotes, except for the 4 and 8 Annas. The signatures include the early period Taylor and the later period Deshmukh. There are two types banknote that draw no enough attention by the public, which are 5 rupees (P.26a) and 100 rupees (P.29a) both signed by Taylor. Another 10 rupee P.27 signed by Taylor is only has specimen and has not been circulated in the public. Specimens are found for all three Taylor-signed notes.

P.26a is much less than P.26b, but the quantity is not that small. The reason why it is worth to draw attention is that its uncirculated quantity is very small. There are only two found in statistics, and total four are recorded by PMG. I once recorded a note of PMG 58 sold on ebay for USD1500 in 2018. As for P.29a, it is extremely rare, like a treasure among the circulated British Burmese banknotes. P.29a banknotes have been found to have counterfeit, and they are fake overprinted on real Indian banknotes. Pay attention to the serial number and overprinted fonts it is able to distinguish them. And there are also real P.29a which wanted to be used in India and swipe out the overprints.
Fake overprint, serial number fonts and space are not correct.
Swipe away overprints
Precautions:
- There are certain amount of British Burmese banknotes in India, the sources of statistics are limited.
